Teeth Whitening FAQs
As teeth are porous, foreign material gradually accumulates within the teeth. The hydrogen peroxide in our unique formula safely penetrates within your teeth where it breaks down the discoloured molecules and removes these stains through a process of oxidation. The use of the LED blue spectrum light accelerates the process and helps to ensure the deepest stains are removed revealing your true bright smile.
You will see visible results from the first 30-minute application. For optimal results we recommend you use the kit daily for a minimum of 7 days.
Within the ReVeal Smile teeth whitening kits, we exclusively use hydrogen peroxide as our active ingredient, as it is faster acting than alternative formulas. This ensures that the duration of applications are quicker and give a more effective result. In alternative kits carbamide peroxide is broken down into hydrogen peroxide and urea. The by-product, urea, is a crystalline compound which is also produced as the main nitrogenous breakdown product of protein metabolism in mammals and is excreted in urine. This is also why these other kits have to be applied for longer periods of time.
Many alternative products currently on the market use a bicarbonate-based formula. These abrasive teeth whitening methods act only on the external surface and can be damaging to tooth enamel. Teeth are naturally porous and over time foreign material can be absorbed into the deeper layers of the teeth which is the root cause of tooth discolouration. Our hydrogen peroxide solution safely penetrates the dentine layer to alter the shade of the teeth from within.

1. Remove the plastic insulating piece under the batteries and then reinsert the batteries into whitening light.
2. Attach the mouth tray to the whitening light.
3. Brush your teeth without toothpaste and rinse with water.
4. Remove cap off syringe then apply ¼ of the whitening gel into the upper mouth tray and ¼ into the lower mouth tray. Ensure you place the gel to coat the frontal surfaces of your teeth to be whitened but not your gums.
5. Place the mouth tray into your mouth and firmly against the front of your teeth. Wipe off any gel that is in contact with your gums.
6. Close your mouth to fix the tray in place. Press the power button. A 10-minute countdown tracker will start.
7. After 10 minutes the light will turn off. Press the button again and continue for a total of 30 minutes.
8. Remove device from mouth. Rinse your mouth with warm water. Detach the mouth tray from the whitening light and clean it in fresh water. Pat dry.
9. Gently brush teeth with a recommended sensitive toothpaste.

Yes. Our formula is safe for use on sensitive teeth. If you regularly experience tooth sensitivity, we would suggest the use of a recommended sensitive toothpaste before and after applying the whitening gel.
Yes, you can still use teeth whitening. Teeth whitening however will not alter the shade of ceramic teeth (crowns, veneers, inlays, onlay) composite fillings or false teeth only your natural teeth will change shade that are next to the ceramic teeth. Teeth stain remover is the alternative product to use if you have a full mouth of crowns or veneers.
The length of time the results last depend greatly on your oral hygiene and lifestyle. However, we recommend whitening every 4-8 weeks to ReVeal your optimal smile or prior to a special occasion.
Teeth whitening procedures are safe when done properly. Some people notice a temporary whitening of the gums or increased sensitivity following their initial application. This typically lasts around 24 hours and is not something to be concerned about. To reduce any potential increase in sensitivity make sure you:
- Rinse your mouth out with warm water afterwards
- Use only soft bristled toothbrushes
- Don’t consume foods that are hot, cold, or overly spicy
- Use a recommended sensitive toothpaste.

Our experience has shown that very few clients experience any sensitivity or discomfort during or after applying our teeth whitening formula.
